On November 28, 2019, the Faculty of Education International Student Union (FoEiSU) hosted their first annual conference. With the theme Technological Unemployment and the Future of Work in a Digital Economy, the presenters tried to answer the question, “how can the field of education create workers of the future”? With 15 student speakers and three keynote presentations from Professor David Turner, Professor Tina Besley, and Professor Michael Peters, from the Faculty of Education, the presentations were divided into four categories, students/new and future learning styles, technological education and future jobs, new types of educations, and vocational and technological education.

20191128日,教育学部留学生会 (FoEiSU)主办了第一届年会。年会以“数字经济中的技术失业和工作的未来”为主题,主持人试图回答“教育领域如何创造未来的工人”这一问题?来自教育学部的15名学生讲演者和David Turner教授、Tina Besley教授、Michael Peters教授作了三次主旨演讲,这些演讲分为四类:学生/未来的新型学习风格、技术教育和未来工作、新型教育以及职业和技术教育。

The afternoon was filled with exciting topics such as: Work Integrated Learning (WIL) as a pragmatic approach to  future graduate employability, gamified learning management system and its evaluation through technology acceptance model, a Content and Language Integrated Learning (CLIL) approach to teaching STEM. the nationalization of education: educators as technological diplomats, and the status quo and enlightenment of Korean vocational courses based on NCS in the background of the Fourth Industrial Revolution, among others. Questions arose such as will animals eventually be trained to take human jobs? Will robots be able to go on strike? Or how do we solve the wicked problem of transitioning students from school to work?

下午的主题包括:工作综合学习(WIL)作为未来毕业生就业的一种实用方法;基于技术接受模型的网络化学习管理系统及其评价;内容与语言综合学习(CLIL)STEM教学中的应用;教育的民族化:作为技术外交官的教育工作者;第四次工业革命背景下基于NCS的韩国职业课程的现状与启示。在此过程中也引发对一些问题的思考,如动物最终会被训练成为人类的职业吗?机器人能罢工吗?或者我们如何解决学生从学校过渡到工作这一可恶的问题?

In a world of global disruptions and a rapidly changing labor markets, the conference presentations proved to be both timely and enlightening. With around fifty participants members including both speakers, professors, and audience members, representing not only the Faculty of Education but other schools around BNU, ideas were shared, connections made, and the future of education was discussed, highlighting the importance of students and professors coming together to talk about the future of not just education but the constantly changing and evolving world.

在全球中断和迅速变化的劳动力市场的世界中,会议的介绍证明既及时又富有启发性。在大约50位参与者中,包括发言者、教授和听众,不仅代表了教育学部,而且还代表了北京师范大学周围的其他学校,交流了思想,并讨论了教育的未来,强调了学生和教授们一起讨论未来不仅仅是教育,而且是不断变化和不断变化的世界的重要性。
