Mark Freeman is a Reader in Education and Social History at the UCL Institute of Education, University College London. He teaches on undergraduate and postgraduate programmes in education studies. He is co-editor of the journal History of Education, and co-editor of a recent book The Edinburgh History of Education in Scotland (2015). He has published widely on many aspects of education and social history.
Lecture 1:How to Publish in English-Language Journals

Introduction:This session is aimed at research students and staff. We will look at some examples of articles in English-language journals in education, including the history of education, and examine the process of submitting articles to these journals. We will consider the whole process, from submission to peer review to acceptance and final publication.
Lecture 2:Education in Modern Britain: An Introduction to Key Issues

Introduction: This session offers a general introduction to the main areas of the education system in modern Britain. It will look at primary, secondary and further/higher education, and some of the key issues that these sectors face in the modern world. It will also introduce differences between England, Scotland and Wales. This is an introductory lecture aimed at undergraduate and postgraduate students.
